Notes

Alan Popplewell lives in Bushey near Watford. He is passionate about the importance of first aid training so he is going to talk about first aid and demonstrate on a dummy. He is a a member of St John's Ambulance and is wearing a green outfit with a high visibility waistcoat over the top. He has done first aid since doing the Duke of Edinburgh award at school; he maintained the qualification as a teacher. He is retired so devotes more time to St John's Ambulance, helping to organise first aid, including for large national events. He thinks it is great to be part of the cross-section of Britain on the plinth. He is confident and likes to be efficient.
