Second, I claim the methods or apparatus herein-before described for pre¬ venting water becoming too low in boilers when no apparatus for supplying them is at work. - $ Third, I claim the method or apparatus herein-before described of effecting the unerring action of all safety valves whatever by a rotatory or partially I would here remark that I do not confine myself to the precise details herein given, so long as the peculiar character of my Invention is retained. In witness whereof, I, the said Samuel Hall, have hereunto set my hand and seal, this Nineteenth day of September, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and forty-nine. SAMUEL (l.s.) And also the Specification aforesaid was stamped according to the tenor of the Statute made for that purpose.
