The saints are identified by Bartsch as Saint Philip Neri and Saint Anthony of Padua. On the ground next to the left saint is a bishop's mitre: was Neri a bishop? On the ground next to the right saint are a lily and a music book, possible attributes of Saint Anthony of Padua
