Technical Advisory, later Scientific Advisory, Committee

This committee arose from the Evidence sub-committee of the Executive committee which prepared the NBTF submission to the Government Committee on Midwifery in 1948 (See K.1). It advised on scientific and technical aspects of research and considered applications for research grants. It was called the Technical Advisory sub-committee from February 1949 until February 1954 and was renamed the Scientific Advisory Committee in December 1964.
