Description

Dutton, Joseph Everett and Todd, John Lancelot: Insect, etc. Book. Containing notes on flys [sic], mosquitoes, fleas, bugs, ticks, lice collected while in Congo, and an account of experiments made with them. Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine Expedition to Congo 1903. Compilers' holograph MS. Written mainly on the rectos, some entries are in pencil, and there are entries by other hands. Dated from 21 September, 1903 to 8 February, 1904. The inserted leaves contain notes by Dr Todd: the first (16 ll.) on Spirochetes found in ticks, dated 1904-1906, with rough pen-drawings from microscopic slides, the second (3 ll.) 'A notice on the morphology of Spirochaeta duttoni' by the late J. Everett Dutton and John L. Todd.'
