1970 - 1972

97 autograph letters sent from prison, court documents and personal items from a convicted 1960s practitioner of illegal abortions (UK) who was sentenced to five years in gaol for 'unlawfully administering certain noxious things […] with intent to procure miscarriage' (good condiiton) In addition to the convicted's letters from Maidstone Prison and Wormwood Scrubs there are three long typed first hand transcripts in which he, his wife (similarly charged but case dismissed) and their daughter provided candid, privileged accounts of the events to their solicitors. Included are three relevant press clippings, appeal and release paperwork. In fair condition.

1990s

A small set of unrelated correspondence to the practitioner after his release. In good condition.
