Biographical note
Wellcome News was first launched in 1994 as TRP3, the Trust's first quarterly publication dedicated to promoting Trust-funded research. In 1997 the publication was relaunched as Wellcome News with an expanded scope to include articles on new ventures as well as the Trust's traditional interests in biomedical research and the history of medicine. The last issue of Wellcome News was printed in 2013, at which point the Trust turned its focus to digital publications, in response to changing modes of communication.
