Notes

Bryan Owen comes from Kirkintilloch in Scotland. He is a poet and writer, was previously an English teacher but has always written. He is now a full time writer and does two tours a year in the USA where he presents his poetry and teaches. He has travelled a lot, working in Papua New Guinea as a teacher and speaks of his experiences.. On the plinth, he will be reading some of his poems. He talks of the privilege of being able to be on the plinth in such a grand setting and is a great believer in liberty and freedom of speech which he feels this opportunity allows him to practice in an importance historical setting.
