About this work

Description

Frederick Prince of Wales, head and shoulders; in a frame surrounded by a wreath of flowers. If the lettering is correct in calling Frederick oldest son of George Prince of Wales, the print must date from 1727 or before, as George became King George II in that year. Therefore Frederick (b. 1707) is portrayed at the age of not more than 20
