Description
Comprises the Devīmāhātmya leaves 1-58, 61-68, from the Markandeya Purana. Covers up to Sumbhanisumbhasendni dhumralocanavadhah (ends f. 64v). The Devi Mahatmya or Devi Mahatmyam ("Glory of the Goddess") is a Hindu religious text describing the Goddess as the supreme power and creator of the universe. It is part of the Markandeya Purana, and estimated to have been composed in Sanskrit between 400-600 CE.
