Description

This film is about the effect lymphatic lilariasis (elephantiasis) has on endemic communities in poorer parts of the world such as South Asia, Africa, South East Asia, the Pacific and the Americas. It focuses in particular on the techniques that helath care workers should use to improve the quality of life for their filariasis patients including demonstrations of how to encourage correct hygiene, skin care, elevation, exercise, acute attack management and diet. People with the disease describe what it is like to live with the illness.
