Description
Two-part documentary on the cooperation between ethnobotanists, pharmacologists, rural health workers, shamans and herbalists in the recording and scientific evaluation of the medicinal plant lore of the Kayapo Indians and other indigenous peoples of the Amazon region, which highlights the potential for the development of new medicinal drugs from tropical plants and the threat to this potential from wanton destruction of the rainforest.
