De principiis corporum. De causis corporum. Notes of lectures taken down by Thomas Shee. Inserted are three engravings by Pierre Landry [1630-1701] of the Crucifixion, St. Francis, and the Virgin Mary: the first of these is cut down and defective.

Ownership note

On the second preliminary leaf 'Ex libris Thomae Shee' who is most probably the student who took down these notes of lectures on 'Physica', perhaps given at a Dominican school or college in France, it contains the first two 'Tractatus' only. On the verso of the first leaf is pasted down the armorial bookplate of 'The Right Hon.ble Sr. Charles Hedges [1650-1714] Knight, one of Her Majesties Principal Secretaries of State. 1702' [see the Dictionary of National Biography].
