Medic one : life and death in London.

Medic One is a specialised emergency ambulance service, operating from the Royal London Hospital, which has to reach priority cases of trauma throughout the city of London. This programme follows their work and details a number of cases. We see the paramedic team bring in victims of road traffic accidents, victims of stabbing and alcohol-related traumas. The paramedics are shown being trained in how to do an emergency thoracotomy and a woman is rescued from under a double-decker bus.
