Shows the management of childbirth under modern conditions and with modern methods. Includes normal labour with brief shots explaining an epidural, an induction, forceps delivery, a breech birth and a caesarean section. Emphasis is placed on the father's role in labour, and part of the film shows the establishment of the mother-baby relationship while in hospital.
