About this work

Description

The records at the Albert R Cook Library of Medicine at the Makerere University Medical School, Mulago Hospital, Kampala, have been copied on 25 reels of microfilm. The film numbers refer to the second batch of films - there were problems with viewing quality in the first batch, so the material was refilmed. However, Film 1 of the second batch is MISSING, thus some of 'Film 1' is illegible.

Dr Tuck's original list is reproduced in an appendix to show the order in which items appear on each film (Appendix A - please see Arrangement field for this alternative list or speak to the Duty Archivist to see the hardcopy version)

Listed by Michael Tuck and Shirley Dixon.

Arrangement

Original list of Microfilms of the Mengo Hospital Papers by Michael Tuck. The collection is organized on 25 reels of microfilm.

What follows is a description based on the notices on the films themselves - each film is divided into sections, and each separate section is preceded by a filmed placard listing what that section contains. In the list below anything in quotation marks is a description which has been copied directly from the film.

Film 1 (About one fifth of the pages are illegible)

1) 'Minutes, Medical Sub-Conference, Mengo Hospital, (Volume 1) 1st Date: 25-1-1908'
