By Dr. Burney Yeo, Professor of Clinical Therapeutics in King's Col- lege, and Physician to King's College Hospital. Dr. Yeo has well succeeded in his aim—namely, to produce a work which shall embody all that is trust- worthy and valuable in treatment, whilst discussing with impartiality and acumen matters which are more or less subjects of controversy. We may well congratulate the author on having written a book which deserves and will doubtless command a wide circle of readers, who will appreciate its value and utility.—The Lancet. The term ' medical treatment' is used here in its widest sense ; it not only includes the indications for and administration of drugs, but embraces questions of diet, hygiene, hydrotherapy, electrical and climatic treatment, as well as the prevention of the spread of the disease to others. This work, with its information always well up to date, may be warmly recommended, as its use will help to disseminate a knowledge of rational therapeutics in the strictest meaning of the term.—British Medical Journal.
