Biographical note

Project Summary:Ping Pong follows pensioners from across the planet as they compete in the World over-80s Table Tennis Championships in Inner Mongolia. From retirement, care homes, mental and physical health to death and loneliness; 8 players from 4 continents, with 703 years between them; show us what it's really like to grow old and be a world class athlete. Ultimately the film challenges what we expect from old age. Through intimate and candid portraits, Ping Pong is a cross-cultural exploration of the physical, social, ethical and psychological issues we face as we grow old.
