Description
Leishmaniasis
This is a high power view of visceral leishmaniasis due to Leishmania donovani in the bone marrow of an HIV-positive patient. Within the marrow are numerous macrophages containing intracytoplasmic parasites. This heavy infection is typical of HIV disease. H&E stain.
