Description

Letters sent from Audrey Amiss to her sister, Dorothy Weatherell and/or John (Dorothy's husband). Originally stored in a lever arch ringbinder by date and kept by Dorothy, who subsequently donated the letters to Wellcome Library. Ringbinder marked "Soeurcare, 1986 - 1994".

File 1 of 2: Letters, 9 December 1989 - 19/20 March 1994. Also includes some copies of letters sent in reply to Audrey, and letters sent to other family members and to doctors, as well as letters and papers from health professionals about Audrey, a photograph of the Queen (from The Daily Express sent to Dorothy.

File 2 of 2: Letters, 9 July 1986 - 28 September 1989. Also includes some copies of letters sent in reply to Audrey, and letters sent to other family members. Letters and documents from the Mental Health Review Tribunal and Audrey's solicitor from 1989 relating to title deeds, as well as a publication Schizophrenia: What You Should Know, and letters between family friends relating to Belle's health (Audrey's mother).
