Biographical note
The Council was part of the ILAE's governance structure and comprised members of the Executive Committee plus one delegate from each Chapter. It advised the Executive Committee on policy and ratified decisions on major projects in the years when a General Assembly was not being held. It ceased to exist after 1997.
