Papers re Campaign's relationship with the Tobacco Research Council (est.1956 as the Tobacco Manufacturers Standing Committee, renamed c.1963), particularly its agreement to advise the Council on directing funds for research; donations received from the Council; an ad hoc Campaign Tobacco sub-committee to discuss concerns about associating itself with a commercial body, Feb 1958; approvals and rejections by the Lung Cancer Sub-Committee and Standing Advisory Committee of projects put forward by the Council. Includes correspondence, memoranda, research proposals, press cuttings, and reprint from the Danish Medical Bulletin 1962, vol 9, no 4, 'Tobacco and lung cancer, deliberations of the Danish Joint Committee with particular attention to cigarette smoking, with a survey of official attitudes toward smoking in fifty-five nations'.
