About this work
Description
Four sermons, one incomplete. Author's holograph MSS. The sermons are dated 1708, 1710, 1713: the incomplete one may perhaps be assigned to 1715, as it apparently was delivered after the defeat of the Jacobite Rebellion. The first three sermons have also been used by the Rev. Stephen Jenner [1702-1754], father of Dr. Edward Jenner, and there are endorsements by him to this effect dated from 1732 to 1748. The sermon dated 1710 bears the signature of Sarah Bloxsome [b. 1812], grand-daughter of the Rev. William Davies [1741-1817] who had married Anne Jenner [ -1812], sister of Dr. Jenner.
