Papers consist of one item: John Thurnam, Description of an Ancient Tumular Cemetery, probably of the Anglo-Saxon period, at Lamel Hill near York (reprinted from the Proceedings of the Yorkshire Philosophical Society, June 1848) Thurnham was later the Medical Superintendent of the Wiltshire County Asylum, where he continued his archeological work at Avebury
