The more acute and violent forms of insanity are those most readily cured, and the more chronic, and quiet, and imbecile, the least curable. The recoveries from Moral Insanity, although amounting to cent, per cent, of the admissions, are the least satisfactory of any recoveries, as the tendency to re¬ lapse amounts probably to not less than 90 per cent, of the so-called cures. The Table which follows shews the duration of disease previous to admission in the cases admitted, their condition as to curability, and the number of those who have already recovered.
