Notes

Martin William Payne lives in Windsor but has lived in various parts of the country. He sees the plinth as a chance to show the British public and British eccentricity. Since his fortieth birthday he decided to do things he didn't do in his youth - one of which was doing a charity run for the Gorilla Organisation which has a sponsored run done in gorilla suits. He will be wearing a gorilla suit on the plinth and hopes that other gorillas will be on the ground having a silent disco. He will also be wearing shorts and a t-shirt with details of the gorilla run on. He supports the scout association as a leader and administrator but wants to widen what he does. He is doing the project for himself. His partner and enjoying life are important to him. He has always been a bit of a lone person and used to lack confidence. He is a freemason which has helped him to talk to people. He works as an accountant. At weekends he acts at murder mystery weekends. He hopes for a great hour of enjoyment and sees the project as a piece of good news. He discusses the Facebook groups about the project, particularly the one for people who participated on the plinth which is building a community of plinthers. Discusses the use of Twitter to promote the project.
