Biographical note
The Nature of Healing Art exhibition was put on to coincide with the inaugural meeting of the Forum for Healing Environments during the Hospex Show in Tokyo in 2002. It was based on study visits to Japanese hospitals between 1993-2002. There was a later UK version of the exhibition held in 2003. Nature of Health Design was a programme for improving the life for patients, carers and other health end uses. It aimed to raise awareness and provide guidance on how art, architecture and garden design can be integrated to raise levels of comfort.
