That no authenticated instances of lead-poisoning from water have been brought be- fore them ;—that not one such case has been ob- served by any of them within the Borough during the past two years;—and that, therefore, any such cases, that may from time to time have occurred, must have been so slight and so rare as to be practically unimportant. For further details on these points we would refer you to the two accompanying Reports. We would beg you to bear in mind, that the Members have avoided entering on the abstract question as to the use of leaden pipes and cisterns in general, and have confined themselves strictly to the matter referred to them. In conclusion, we have only to express to you the gratification felt by the Members at having had it in their power to be of any service to the Local Board of Health, and to assure you of their readiness to give their assistance hereafter, in any matter connected with the sanitary condition of the Borough.
