Botanical illustration of a Cinchona ledgeriana specimen from Java. The original diagram was lent by Professor A. Tschirch (of the Pharmaceutical Institute of the University of Berne) for <i>Malaria section of the international celebration and exhibition : three hundredth anniversary of the first recognized use of cinchona by Europeans, 1630-1930</i>, an exhibition hosted by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1930. The specimen is listed as exhibit no. 456 in the souvenir catalogue. The item is not held by Wellcome Collection.
