The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "The bisexual Hollywood actor Anthony Perkins, best known for his role as Norman Bates in Alfred Hitchcock's 'Psycho'. Despite the fact that his homosexuality and affair with fellow actor Tab Hunter were well-known in Hollywood, he was completely outed when he died from AIDS-related pneumonia in 1992".
