Biographical note
HEW was the RAF representative on this Joint Committee to investigate the incidence and treatment of tonsillitis within the three armed services. He was involved in testing airmen at Halton Camp, Buckinghamshire, and was author of Part III of the final report re the etiology of tonsillitis.
