Notes

Marlene Kadima Mbombo is a chef who lives in Ealing in West London. Having spent several years studying catering she currently works as a chef at a private members club at the BBC. One day she would like to set up her own events catering company. She was born in Congo but at the age of one her family moved to Romania so she could undergo an operation on her legs. At the age of four they moved to London where she has grown up. She doesn't generally follow art, and heard about this project on the radio. Thinking it sounds fun she applied, but is now worried she will embarrass herself. She hasnothing planned for her time on the plinth and depending on if the weather improves she might do a dance.
