Notes

Jane Spurr comes from the West Country. She is playing a character called Daphne which she has played for many years. Daphne is a gentle lady with a wondering, magical character who is close to nature. She's leaving her time on the plinth to chance but has some toys to connect with the audience. She has brought blossoms and petals to scatter. She might have a cup of tea and a cup cake and bring her little gnome out.
