Description

Debris produced by the decay of large volumes of hand-written ledgers containing records of gynaecological operations at Guy's Hospital, London, 1909-1912. Owing to damp, the outer leaves had turned to powder, a sample of which was collected in two jam-jars when the inner leaves were microfilmed at the Wellcome Institute in the 1980s
