Notes

One of a series of photographs showing methods of refuse disposal in Kamaman, Trengganu, Malaya, presented to the Wellcome Library by A. Thomas, Health Inspector of Trengganu. Accompanying notes to a duplicate set of prints explain that this controlled tipping trench represented a very rare method of working on a difficult site. Measuring 78 feet x 14 feet x 7 feet, it was constructed of logs and coconut wood
