8 autograph letters, signed, formerly held in the Western Manuscripts Department's Autograph Letters Sequence. Correspondents include "Mr. Murchison", presumably the physician Charles Murchison F.R.S. (1830-1879) (nos. 2 and 8); John Flint South F.R.C.S. (1797-1882) (no. 3); James Sheridan Muspratt (1821-1871), chemist (nos. 5-6); and the botanist and traveller Sir Joseph Dalton Hooker (1817-1911) (no. 7). Also 1 photograph of Watson (no. 9), which is not the photograph he alludes to in nos. 5-6.
