About this work

Description

Collection of medical, culinary and household recipes compiled in the Leeds area during the early decades of the 19th century. Entries are made from both ends of the volume, apparently reflecting an original intention to separate medical from other receipts. However the distinction was not strictly maintained. Numerous authorities are cited, including newspapers such as the Leeds Mercury and Bradford Observer.
