Biographical note
Pearson obtained his M.D. at Queens University, Cork in 1878, and became professor of materia medica and medical jurisprudence, as well as F.R.C.S. in 1886. He also held the chair of surgery from 1897 to 1928 [cf. B.M.J. 1947, ii, p. 764]. P. J. F. Lynch qualified M.B. and B.Ch. at University College, Cork in 1916, and later served in the R.A.M.C. He practised later at Cork for a short period, and afterwards settled in Lincoln. His name is not found in the Register after 1930.
