The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "Portrait of Clementine Delait (1865-1939) at her café in Thaon-les-Vosges, Lorraine, France, circa 1910s. Madame Delait re-named her café 'Le Café de la Femme a Barbe', and she was a popular tourist attraction."
