No.2. The odd volume. Octr. 29th 1834. The late fire. First alarms in the City. The City authorities going to see the fire - "What do we in the east when we should serve our Sovereign in the west." (Shakespeare). A view of the fire from New Palace Yard - (at about half past eight o'clock) - from a sketch taken on the spot. Coming home by water at three o'clock in the morning. W.Newman invent & lith.
