About this work

Description

Further papers relating to ALRA were sent to the Institute of Medical Sociology, Aberdeen, in 1980, originating from various sources. Most of them came from Mrs Eva Learner (one of the members of the Lane Committee on the Working of the Abortion Act), Madeleine Simms and Vera Houghton. The papers were in no particular order and were listed by J Aitken Swan.

The items in this section have been sorted out by the CMAC as being either strayed items from the ALRA records found in Section A, files on later post-1967 activities of ALRA, or the personal files of individuals, officers of the Association, which complement them. In some cases the precise provenance of these papers is obscure. Sections B-F of this list therefore supersede of list 'Index to Lane Committee and Other Papers Received in Aberdeen 1980' compiled by J Aitken Swan.
