Description

Collection of chemical and alchemical receipts, including 'Fabers 112 receipts'. Compiler's holograph MS. Inserted are 12 ll. in smaller format (15½x9½ cm.), containing translations of Hindustani chemical receipts, etc. (incomplete). The 'Faber' mentioned above is Pierre Jean Fabre, the French 17th cent. physician and alchemist [ -1650]. The '112 receipts' begin after the fourteenth leaf.
