Patients Rights handbook (of the National Consumers Council)

Correspondence and papers relating to the compiling of a book on patients rights, including correspondence with potential authors, draft manuscripts by different authors, correspondence with Penguin books and other publishers, correspondence with the Consumer's Association. After many false starts, delays and alternative versions, in February 1982 the Patients Association approached the Consumers Association. The book 'A Patients Guide to the National Health Service' was eventually published in Sep 1983 as a joint venture of the Consumers Association and the Patients Association.
