The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "Publicity card for Chris Shaw (1936-2010), a highly successful tenor, female impersonator and theatrical producer, who enjoyed a long and successful career in Great Britain from the 1960s (where he is credited with being the first drag performer at the Vauxhall Tavern), then to South Africa, and finally Australia."
