Description

On the left Britannia receives from a woman personifying philosophy a scroll representing the Universal magazine. Two women next to her represent Peace and Plenty (Plenty has a cornucopia at her feet). Above, Fame blows trumpets and another woman with stars in her halo descends with a laurel wreath. Left foreground, winged genii draw plants, and a woman holding scrolls clutches a sheet inscribed "Pliny"
