About this work

Description

3D model of a wasp's head imaged using micro-computed tomography (CT). Only one of two antennae is visible here as the second antenna has broken off. Wasps belong to the order hymenoptera and can be either social or solitary insects depending on the species. Some wasps are aggressive and can sting when threatened. Width of image is 1.5 mm.
