    CONDITIONS OF SALE. I.—The highest bidder to be the purchaser, but subject to the Auctioneer reserving the right of refusing ‘the bidding of any person; and should any dispute arise between two or more approved bidders, or between the Auctioneer and any approved bidder, the lot in dispute ‘to be put up again. II. —No person to advance less than rs. inthe pound -at each bidding, when the amount is less than Two Pounds ; above Two Pounds, 2s.; above Five Pounds 58.; and so on in proportion, as the Auctioneer may deem fit. Each purchaser shall pay, at the tall of the ‘hammer a deposit of 5s. in the pound on the whole of the purchase-money, and also give in his name and place of abode; in default of which, the lot or lots shall be put up again and re-sold. III.—All lots to be taken and cleared away with all faults, deficiences, defects, imperfections, misdescriptions or errors of every description at the buyer’s expense before 4 o’clock p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23rd, in default of which Messrs. Towers, Ellis & Co, will not hold themselves responsible if the lots be stolen, damaged or destroyed. Messrs. Towers, Ellis & Co. not being responsible for the correct description »enuineness, au- thenticity of, or any fault or defect in any lot, and making no warranty whatever, and the remainder of the purchase money to be absolutely paid on or before the delivery of any of the lots. IV.—Upon failure of complying with the above ‘conditions, the money deposited shall be forfeited, the lot or lots uncleared within the time aforesaid shall be re-sold, either by public sale or private contract, and the deficiency (if any) occasioned by such second sale, ‘together with all charges attending the same, shall be made good by the defaulter or defaulters at this present sale, and be recoverable as and for liquidated damages, ‘but any surplus that may arise therefrom shall belong solely to the Vendor. Lastty.—The Auctioneer to be the sole arbitrator in all and every matter of dispute. The Clerk of the Sale has authority to refuse Cheques N.8-—Piease Note NO Lots whatever will be Transferred.
