Description

Letters between J G Crowther and J B S Haldane's secretary regarding a request from W F Wertheim for Haldane to contribute a paper on "Science and the gratification of human needs" to a volume of essays on "Science in the Service of Humanity" to be produced by the Board of Editors of The Free World. Haldane is unable to contribute due to his engagements abroad. Encloses extracts from Wertheim's letter to Crowther, and a synopsis of the aims of the series and list of the expected essays in English, French and German.
