Description
Comprises various histories and overviews of Casualties Union. There are several files regarding the pamphlet A brief history of the Casualties Union , which underwent several revisions over the decades. There are also files concerning a brochure produced to celebrate the Union's 21st anniversary and the two published histories written by Eric Claxton: More ways than one of fighting a war (Lewes: Book Guild, 1990) and The struggle for peace (Lewes: Book Guild, 1992).

A brief history of the Casualties Union was initially written in 1956 and published in 1957 after the American Embassy asked urgently for a briefing about Casualties Union and they realised they had nothing to provide.
