Biographical note
Work Study department formed 1953 and became a division 1960. Originally focussed on improvements within the Filling and Packaging Department under Pharmaceutical Division. Incentive schemes were introduced from 1957 onwards and in 1968 the Wellcome Productivity Plan was created.
